Dick A. Witmer, 87, a resident of Dewart for the last 65 years, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014, at Watsontown Health and Rehabilitation. Dick served in the Air Force in Germany during World War II where he met his future wife Helga “Candy” Weisheit. They married in Germany on Aug. 28, 1948, and were happily married for more than 65 years. Dick was the Owner of Dewart Livestock for over 50 years. He was a strong back bone of the business and is dearly missed by all of his friends, family, and employees.
William G. “Bill” Wolfe, 61, of 383 Four Bells Church Road, entered into rest at 10:29 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014, at his home. Bill was a long time friend & Auctioneer of Dewart Livestock. He will be greatly missed.
